Activation Energy's Demand Side Unit scheme pays energy users who can reduce electrical demand when requested in excess of €38,000/MW available per year. These reductions are limited to 2 hours and sites can chose when they are available. Flexible load such as chillers or back up generators are ideal candidates for the scheme.
As part of the scheme electricity users with a flexible load can receive guaranteed payments from Activation Energy in return for delivering temporary reductions in their national grid electricity consumption when requested.
